The trick here is the compound angle miters. This is like the base of a pyramid. Only 7" high, I was thinking of an older adult. The top is an interesting piece of termite damaged ash.

Rake and splay make this stable. I used white oak and cherry. The idea is that this is a totable little stool with storage for tools on the bottom.

My lighting method is not yet perfected. The rice paper sides are reinforced. Various dense hardwoods are used to achieve stability.
